What is perimenopause? Usually beginning in a woman’s 40’s, the onset can be gradual or sudden. It’s common that women don’t realize that their symptoms are even caused by perimenopause. A woman is defined as being in menopause after she has gone 1 year without a menstrual period, the average age of menopause is 52.
